Faces Faces, Everywhere!
Sevilla, Spain.
For some reason this cozy city caught me, entirely. It took only a couple of hours to feel the intense friendly vibe, all together with the rich history and the diverse architecture all over the place. Probably something that has happened to many already…but there’s always this personal point of view.
In my case? Well, I gotta say that Sevilla took my passion out in order to be exposed to myself. Every single thing in this town made me felt amazing things, made my senses to activate right away. I had tastes, probably not so different from others around Spain, but definitely a few of them I was experiencing for the first time.
Besides this, Sevilla took also my sense of sight and showed me a completely different Spain I’ve seen so far. It made me think a lot, made me felt delightful and joyful. Unique!
My hearing sense let me discover there the sounds of the past, through a river with exquisite history; the sound of boats and ships…letting me imagine how it may have been back then, when a man called Christopher Columbus set sail to a new world without really knowing it. A new world which is the place nowadays where I come from. Also made me think, as you can imagine, and see things from a new perspective. Extremely interesting inside me.
And after all these, I have to say Sevilla made my creativity wake up. It was inevitable to me (for some reason I don’t know) to see faces…yes, faces, everywhere! The architecture is so diverse from anything I’ve seen until now, that my mind could only do one thing in order to process and enjoy this beautiful sights all over town…and it was finding faces in every single detail on the walls, in every tile, sculpture and anything else possible.
Call me crazy or simply curious, but maybe you’ve experienced the same or similar thing sometime. And if not, you’re welcome to join me and enjoy some little pieces of architecture through my eyes and mind on this funny small experience, all the way through the Alcazar Real and a couple spots on the street.
Welcome to Sevilla!

This is such a fun post. Looks like Sevilla is a wonderful place to see some great art and architecture to let your imagination run wild besides. I’ve done the same thing before with intriguing patterns & designs. Nice to know I’m not alone. :)
Thank you! Definitely not alone, I now know that too :)
Hahahaha, you’re seeing faces everywhere, Mariana. But your pictures are nice and inviting me to really visit Sevilla this year.
Glad to know! So my mission with this post is accomplished.
Wow, great work, I love those tiles! Hope to be in Sevilla this october, so will check these out!
Cute! Thanks for making me smile. :)
Sevilla is one of my favorite cities in Spain. I love the architecture, the design of the city, and the mix of Christian and Muslim culture. While Granada may get more attention for the Alhambra, I actually liked the Alcazar better!
